Advent Events

• Sunday 26^th November: Christingle Service at St. John’s Hailey Church. Come along to this special service where they will be making and lighting the Christingles
• Sunday 3rd December: Messy Church at Windrush School, 4.00 pm. Christingle Service for children and their parents/carers.
• Sunday 3^rd December: Benefice Advent Carols, 6.00 pm, St Mary’s Church. Do come along and enjoy music by Rachmaninov, Rumsey and Mendelssohn, readings, and congregational Advent carols.
• Friday 8^th December: Eucharist. Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This will take place in the Annunciation Chapel at St. Mary’s Church at 9.30 am, following morning prayer at 9.00 am. Do come and join us.
• Monday 11^th December: BBC Radio Oxford Carol Concert. Doors open 6.30 pm for 7.00 pm start at St. Mary’s Church. Tickets will go live on BBC Radio Oxfords website up to three weeks prior to the date. Retiring collection will be split between Children in Need and St. Mary’s Church.
• Saturday 16^th December: Carol Sing Along at St Mary’s Church Witney OX28 4AW from 6:30 pm. Soft drinks, biscuits, mince pies and mulled wine. Free entry with donations going towards church funds.
• Sunday 17th December: Messy Mass, 10.45, Holy Trinity Church. Light breakfast at 10.15. Crafts and activities for children. 
• Sunday 17^th December: Christmas Carols with Burford School Brass Ensemble, 6.00 pm at St. Kenelm’s Church, Minster Lovell.
• Wed 20th December: Service of Nine Lessons & Carols at 7:30 pm at Holy Trinity

Occasional Advent Series: Faith Seeking Understanding Discussion Group 

This takes place at at St Mary’s Witney in the Winchester Room from 6 00 pm to 7:15 pm. All are welcome to come along to Evening Prayer at 5:30 p.m. preceding these Discussion Groups:

• Tue 28th  Nov: The Compilation of the New Testament and the Development of the Creeds 
• Fri 15th  Dec: The Development of the Meaning of the Sacraments 
• Thu 21th Dec: The Nativity: The Different Gospel Perspectives
