Welcome
We are one of six Church of England churches in the Benefice of Witney. Saint John the Evangelist church is in the middle of the village of Hailey, 2 miles north of Witney
We are a warm, welcoming, and outward-looking congregation, and the church remains a focal point for village life.
Do email office@witneyparish.org.uk if you have any questions about who we are or what we do.
About Us
The church was built in 1869 and is a fine example of Victorian architecture, Oxford style.
We pride ourselves on being a warm welcoming and friendly community embracing a hospitable Christianity.
The heart of our life is our worship. We treasure the Eucharist and singing.
We are fully committed to being an eco-church with the churchyard set aside as a source of biodiversity and natural sanctuary. We have achieved the Rocha silver award.
We are an outward looking church that strives to show God’s love in our actions towards others.
