Welcome
Windrush Church is one of six churches in the Benefice of Witney.
We are a church for people at all stages of their faith journey and of any age, especially those exploring faith for the first time.
Do email jacky@witneyparish.org.uk if you have any questions about who we are or what we do.
About Us
Windrush Church, a new church established by the Baptist Union and Church of England, serves the growing communities of Windrush Place and Colwell Green. Led by Revd Jacky Bone and local volunteers, we offer a Sunday Messy Church service, welcoming up to 25 families. By late 2024, we plan to introduce a café-style service.
Our activities include a weekly tots’ group at Windrush School, an allotment project, and community events like Christmas fun days, a summer play project, and the popular Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
What is Messy Church?
Messy Church is a form of church for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality.
Messy Church is for everyone. Every element aims to be relevant and accessible to all ages.
Messy Church is outward-facing, welcoming everybody to enjoy the hospitality and unconditional love of God. It’s fun! Simple!
